Diaper Dancing...

Fall went by pretty quick this year. Its already cold and winter is here. Wyatt did manage to get some fun in playing in the leaves. He's very mobile now, running, climbing and dancing all over the place. He talks on and on but unfortunately we can't understand a word of it, which frustrates him to no end. We are teaching him some sign language in the inteterim but there is so much he seems to want to say and not enough signs to say it all. He loves music and regularly runs over to the stereo and points at it until you play something. Make sure you are ready to dance if you do though, because he prefers not to dance alone.

Oh what a difference a year makes! Wyatt has really started to develop into a little boy, with strong opinions on many things. His vocabulary has expanded to include the phrases "ut oh" (which comes with shrugged shoulders) and "uh ah" (which includes adamant head shaking). And anytime you praise him for a job well done, he always follows up with applause for himself.
Apparently mom and dad didn't realize that I have been watching their every move, waiting for the moment when I had the fine motor skills to show them everything they have taught me!
Now I saw dad do something with the top here...it sure looks like something besides whole milk comes outta this can...
Hey let's get this party started!
The confused look on Wyatt's face is the result of the tricycle shooting forward and dumping him on his bum. No wonder Wyatt rides it backwards, it doesn't get away from him that way!
Nanny sent me this xylophone, and I went right to work making music!
Wyatt loves to go in the tuperware cupboard and get his hat. We haven't had the heart to tell him it's a plastic bowl. Maybe he is just taking after his mother who used to wear a mixing bowl on her head.
Wyatt loves the watering can, and the shelf that it sits on now makes a nice seat for a little boy.
Wyatt has discovered the power of the camera, and now finds getting his picture taken very funny. Here he is striking a pose while eating some cheerios.
Wyatt has also discovered the dining room table. And the shelf on the bottom of the table appears to be a great place for little boys to hang out. Here dad is helping him as things getting pretty slick when Wyatt is wearing his fuzzy pj's.
So as you can see from the look on my face, I am still a little confused over the party thing. But hey, Nanny and Papa are here, and so are my cousins Matt and Ellie, so let's get this party started!
Hey, I can dig this! Uncle Michael bought me this cool bear chair for my birthday. I love to hang out in it and just chill.
And this is the very fun tricycle Nanny and Papa got for me. I only ride it backwards though. It's just how I roll...
And can you believe someone gave me this totally cool box?!
Here I am with Dad and the cupcakes. I didn't really like eating the cupcakes, but boy were they fun to play with!
Now this is what I call a party!
My work here is done!
Headed out on a weekend adventure.
