Playing with Faegan and a day at the races

Now that I am getting more mobile, I'm having lots of fun with Faegan on the floor. I've been enjoying more and more solids, and so far there isn't anything I don't like, and I love yogurt-yummy! We had a big weekend, mommy and daddy took me to the a horse race called the Hunt Cup. I only saw a few horses, but lots of people eating and drinking. There are plenty of pictures from that below.

Faegan and I like to have staring contests.

Here I am learning how to pet Faegan without pulling out clumps of her hair. Being gentle is hard work, but Faegan is very patient.

What's so funny? Do I have something stuck in my teeth?

The pope mobile's got nothin' on my ride

Here I am in my covered wagon at Hunt Cup. I was quite the sight being pulled along the bumpy grass. Daddy figured out that he could put my bumbo seat in the wagon since I am still too small to sit on the wagon seat. I am a little upset in this picture because no one has offered me a Mint Julep.

Hanging out with Grandma at Hunt Cup.

Here I am with Mr. Todd and Ms. Lauren at Hunt Cup.

After a very long day of horse racing, partying and eating, I'm all tuckered out!

As you can see from this close up, I fell asleep as soon as I got back in my wagon. I was too busy being social to take a nap in the afternoon, and I just passed out after all the festivities ended.

Back at home, Daddy let me where his hat. I think I look pretty cool.

Here I come Faegan! I'm getting this crawling thing down...

Faegan? Why did you walk away? Wait for me!

Peas and carrots and pears, Oh my.

Wyatt is 7 months old today. How time flies. He is rolling all over the place and thinking about crawling, but not quite there yet. We've tried lots of (relatively) solid food and pretty much everything has been a hit, except for green beans, which got less than a warm reception on the first try but were better received the second time. Peas are a favorite (he must get that from his mother), as is yogurt.

Its getting warmer (slowly) and Wyatt loves to sit in the grass with Faegan and watch Mommy and Daddy work in the yard. They are quite the duo. Class picture day was this week at school and Wyatt got all dressed up for that. Stay tuned for the picture on an upcoming post, but there is a preview below.

We are also reporting here that Wyatt is close to saying dada. Right now its more like da da da da da da da da da da da da, but we all know what he means and its only a matter of time before he puts it all together. Enjoy the pics.

Sitting Up and Sweet Potatos

Wyatt had his 6mth checkup this past Monday. He weighs 16lbs.,12 oz. and is 26.5 inches long. He is doing great and is right on track. He is starting solids, and has begun sleeping through the night without waking up at all (horaay).

Toes! These things are great! While they have been entertaining me for weeks, I have recently discovered that they are also very good to chew on. Who knew?!

OK Mom, you got me in this chair, and I am STARVING here! I guess I'll have to eat the strap...

I know you wanted to feed me my first sweet potatoes, but I'm already showing my independence- give me that spoon so I can feed myself!

You know what, forget the spoon. These fingers seems to work better.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing!

Hey, guys looks at me, sitting up!
Now that I can sit up, I have a whole new range of photogenic poses in my repertoire.
