Wyatt and Owen's Roundup: February 2010

Happy 2nd Birthday Wyatt!

Wyatt had a wonderful birthday celebration with a Blue's Clues pawprint cake that mommy made and all the grandparents here, as well as Uncle Michael, to celebrate his be number 2.

Here is one of the hats that Wyatt picked out to take to school for his birthday party. I had picked out the typical cone shaped birthday hats at the store, when Wyatt layed eyes on these blue, leopard print cowboy hats and insisted that these were his birthday party hats. I think it goes nicely with his hawaiian shirt and matching shorts I got him in Hawaii.

Wyatt got lots of cool new toys- a firehouse and a new dumptruck!

Wyatt also got a train book from Nanny and Papa that has a windup train that goes around the tracks. Daddy is patiently waiting for his turn to play with it!

Owen's first weeks

Wyatt gets back to basics, literally, as life returns to the new normal with two boys.

Nanny was here when Owen was born, actually Nanny had been here for a week by the time Owen was born, but then stayed for another two weeks to help out. Owen appreciated having a live in binky holder!

Owen had a play date with Andrew Rebbel, who was born thirteen days before him. In these early days, thirteen days makes a huge difference!

Here's Owen sleeping with Grandmom. Owen is always up for a nap on someone's chest, but is downright insulted at the idea that he should have to sleep in a crib by himself!

Meanwhile, Wyatt is helping Nanny eat, er I mean make cookies!

Owen arrived six days later than mommy had planned, and we all know how mommy likes go plan! Despite the shock of getting a call at 5:30 on August 19 telling her that she would not be having a c section the next morning, Owen was well worth the wait! His official stats: He was born on August 26, 2009 at 11:59am, weighing 6lbs 15oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He felt very tiny in my arms and had no fat on his bottom, he felt so fragile!
