Visit to Rocky River for Baptism

So this is my punk rock baby look. Okay, really it is mom's attempt at being funny while covering my head and face with Aquafer in an attempt to get my cradle cap under control. Notice how alarmed I look when mom tells me she has given me a mohawk. We are at Nanny and Papa's for my baptism. Mom and I went for the week, and dad met us out there on Saturday.

Aunt Kasey came to visit me since she couldn't make the baptism. I slept through the visit, but I hear I had a good time.

Here I am after my bath in preparation for the baptism. I don't know why mom had to give me a bath, I hear I will get one at church! Mom- put down that camera and put some clothes on me!

While at Nanny and Papa's for the week, I made a lot of advances. I started to enjoy looking at toys above me. Here I am on my changing table checking out the cool toys. I also informed mom this week in no uncertain terms that I was done being swaddled at night. I am a big boy now! Here comes my personality!

Yeah- the chicks dig me. Here I am with Aunt Lisa.

Mom- you l0ok so much more tired than Aunt Lisa and Aunt Linda-you should really get some more sleep at night!

Here I am at the baptism with my godparents, Judy and Jeff. I was an absolute angel throughout the baptism and never cried- not even when they poured water over me or when the guy in the robes held me up over his head to show me off to the whole church- it reminded me of the Lion King.

Here I am with father John after the baptism.

Just the pics, Ma'am.

Wyatt has had a couple busy weeks with his Christening (including his first plane ride) and then his first Thanksgiving. Mom & Dad have been a bit forgetful with the camera so we are getting pictures of these events from others... stay tuned. This week we just have a few pictures to prove that he is the cutest baby ever (our unbiased opinion, of course). His sleeping is getting better, but, as with everything, its two steps forward and one step back. We have some confirmed giggles and lots of smiling. He has even rolled over at least three time (not down a hill either), although I am not sure they were intentional in any case.

These pictures are from Wyatt's early morning routine of sitting in his bouncy chair and gazing out the window waiting for his medicine and for the coffee to kick in for mom & dad. He seems to really like looking out the window, at what we're not sure

Good Morning Sunshine!

Do I see a squirrel out there?

Okay dad, enough with the paparazzi already. Now I know how Brad Pitt feels.

Peek-a-boo! - Did you say cover story? Okay, just one more for the Enquirer.

Let's get this party started... Mom? Mom? drink some more coffee, Mom...

Munchkins

Well, we are still falling behind in our posting. Last week (okay, almost 2 weeks ago now) Wyatt has his first trip to Dunkin' Donuts with dad and grandad for some coffee, a donut and some good conversation. Wyatt met all of the regulars and was a hit with the staff as well. Grandad gave Wyatt a bottle (decaf of course) and he was showing off his sunny disposition to all. Wyatt has started smiling and reacting to use when we talk to him so now we walk around talking in funny voices and making faces.

After a donut Wyatt also made his first trip to Home Depot. Grandad pushed him around in the cart and dad found something to buy if only to commemorate the occasion. Here are some pics.

Halloween

Its Halloween this week and Wyatt has already begun to notice a sweeter taste in his meals and in increase in mom's blood sugar. I hope we have something left for the kids in the neighborhood. Probably a bit early this year to put Wyatt in the wagon and collect some loot from the neighbors. Not to mention that I don't think the pirate outfit comes in newborn sizes, but then again, it might. Wyatt and mom and dad stayed around the house to hand out goodies and then walked up the street to see baby Heather, born a couple weeks before Wyatt (and already sleeping through the night, or so her parents say... liars). Wyatt did don his favorite Halloween sleeper and pumpkin hat for the event.

Getting ready for the big night.

Check out my cool pumpkin costume!

Was that the doorbell?

Tummy Time!

Another adventuresome week in the life of Wyatt. Halloween was this week (look for an upcoming post on that fun). We had some tough all-nighters but things have been looking up on the sleeping front (keep your fingers crossed). We have gotten almost 5 consecutive hours of sleep for 3 nights running. On Saturday Kristin and I did an historic Annapolis homes tour and Wyatt came along in his Baby Bjorn carrier. He did great and was more popular than some of the homes (if you ask me anyway).

This week we have some pictures of tummy time where Wyatt is learning to hold his head up and, well, generally getting a view of the world that doesn't involve the ceiling. Enjoy!

Wyatt on his tummy time mat (a gift from Uncle Michael). Obviously tummy time has not started yet.

Still on the mat. No, that is not a halo despite what his grandparents say. Tummy time still hasn't started.

A tummy time close-up. Wyatt appears concerned that tummy time will never get underway if mom doesn't put the camera down. Okay, so there are no actual picture of him on his tummy in this post, despite the name. We figured we'd stick with his good side for the blog.

Faegan and Chris have joined in for a tummy time group shot.

Fall Festival

Mom, dad and I went to the Fall Festival at Homestead Gardens to pick out the right pumpkin for Halloween. Mom tried posing me with the pumpkins (she is trying to give that Anne Geddes woman a run for her money) but I was sleepy after watching all the big kids play the various games, so I needed mom to prop me up. I am sure dad can photoshop mom's arm out of the picture!

Here I am with dad in my favorite spot- the baby bjorn carrier. Dad likes to come home for work and "put me on." Then he fixes himself some dinner and puts a napkin over my head so I don't get crumbs in the little bit of hair that I have. I have mom and dad trained well and they know when my face starts to turn red that they aren't moving around enough- I like motion people! Mom calls it the Wyatt wiggle when she sways back and forth to keep me happy. But if all else fails, there is always the hairdryer. I love the sweet sounds of the hairdryer.

My One Month Birthday

So on my one month birthday (October 20) mom thought she would prop me up on the chair to take my birthday picture. As you can see, things did not turn out as either of us planned, but I am still pretty darn cute!

Here I am just staring up at the handle to my car seat. Mom thought because I was staring at the handle I might like a toy dangling down to look at, so she went and got Mortimer the Moose. I wasn't yet ready for a giant rainbow colored moose to be hanging in my face, and started screaming in protest. Mortimer was promptly removed and I am now able to stare at the handle of the car seat again- ahhh.
