Down to the Wire

It's been a busy summer, and we have managed to take a couple short trips. First we went to visit Grandma GG in Amsterdam NY, close to Saratoga Springs, where we stayed. Nanny and Papa were there too. I got to play with cousins I hadn't even met before and had lots of fun. I was a super car traveler too! We also went to Hershey Park for the weekend, and I loved the chocolate and the rides! My friends Jack and Henry came to visit for the weekend, and cousins Ellie and Matt came to visit another weekend. And when we weren't on the go, we spent lots of fun days at the pool or playing in the back yard with my water toys. But throughout the summer, I have noticed that mommy's belly has gotten bigger and bigger, and now we will have a new baby this coming week! I am very excited, even if it means this is the last time the blog will focus on just me. But don't worry, I am good at sharing, so I am looking forward to sharing my spotlight with the new baby! Stay turned!

So one day I'm just lounging about watching Handy Manny, and next thing I know, poof-there's all this talk about how I am going to be a big brother. But it can't be too bad, since Nanny came to town and we've been having lots of fun.

Nanny and I made oatmeal raisin cookies! It was messy and I loved it! I loved to eat the batter.

Here I am posing for Nanny in Daddy's shoes. Aren't I cute?

Weeeeeee- we love to play on the swings! Thanks for the push mommy!

Mommy had a conference in Hershey Park, so Daddy and I went to meet her for the weekend. We went to Hershey Park on Saturday and this was the coolest ride I have ever been on. The frog jumped up and down, and I laughed and laughed. It was so cool I even went on it without daddy a couple of times.

Here I am getting ready for the first ride.

Here I am riding the blue truck. I love trucks!

Daddy and I rode alot of the rides together. Here we are in the rocket ship.

I had to concentrate hard to drive the firetruck around and around that circle!

Daddy asked me not to spin the tea cups too fast, cuz he doesn't like spinny rides. I told him not to worry, that we would go slow.

I rode the buzzy bee all by mself!

Okay, so you caught me, striking a pose in my sunglasses. But I just can't help it, I know how cool they make me look.

I'm snacking on the dock of the bay here- literally. When Matt and Ellie came to visit, we went to Chesapeake Beach and here we stopped at the beach after spending a very fun day at the water park.

See- here's Matt, Ellie and I deep in conversation.

Here we are at the Beach!

Mommy and I took Matt, Ellie and Judy to meet Gracie. We all took turns sitting on her back, it was lots of fun. We also fed Gracie lots of carrots, and she liked that alot.

Ellie and I had lots of fun together- she loved to carry me everywhere, and I was more than happy to let her!

Mommy Daddy and I went to this cool show on the Fourth of July. We saw lots of signing and dancing, and fireworks! Mommy and I got to go onstage even to see Big Bird!

Here's Big Bird- Mommy and I were front and center, sitting on the lawn.
Here's Mommy and I dancing and singing to Barry Manilow before we got to go sit in front of the stage.

I borrowed Mommy's glasses for a bit- I thought they really made the outfit.

Mommy, Daddy and I went to visit Grandma GG in Amsterdam. While we were there, we went to visit the Adirondack Animal Park with Nanny and Papa. It was fun to see all the aniumals, and even pet some of them too, like these goats.

There were giraffes that we could feed! They stretched their necks over the fence to get a treat.

Dayton and I got silly with these cool Fourth of July hats- mommy said I still had glitter in my hair weeks after- thanks Nanny!

Worth the Wait

We've been busy, but that's not a good reason to keep our faithful followers waiting! Wyatt is growing and learning before our eyes. He is enjoying blowing bubbles, riding in his Kozy Coupe, and playing at the park. This is a big post to bring you all up to date, and it spans two holidays, Easter and Memorial Day, and lots of fun outings in between.

Wyatt and daddy at the Roedown Steeplechase in early April. Wyatt loved watching the horses run, but the races didn't go fast enough for this young rail bird, he kept asking for "more" as soon as one race ended.

Yea! It's Easter! Nanny sent me a care package, and inside were dancing bunnies. I really liked dancing with them, and the chocolate candy which is on my chin here in the picture.

Here I am pressing the bunny's hand so we can dance again.

Nanny also sent me bunny bubbles! What fun!

Yes, it's good to be me. Here I am at Grandmom's house with ANOTHER easter basket.

More bubbles, and lots of candy!

Does anyone want to blow bubbles with me?

I love my blanky, but this Easter stuff is exhausting!

Mommy and Daddy took me down to the farm to visit Gracie. I like playing around the barn.

I like walking up and down the barn isles talking to all the horses. They stick their heads out to say hello to me.

I'm riding with mommy in the backpack at the Maryland Hunt Cup. I'm becoming quite a regular on the Steeplechase circuit. But so far, I haven't been able to stay awake till the end of the Hunt Cup. Maybe next year!

Mommy and Daddy got me a really cool train set that came in this even cooler box. I can't decide if I should play with the train or play with the box!

I like to get my water bottle from the fridge and have a couple sips on this nice cold seat conveniently located in the fridge!

I LOVE Blue's Clues! Here I am intently trying to find that darn third clue.

Mommy, Daddy and I went on a barn tour. Mommy and I climbed up on this cool tractor, but I got the funny feeling mommy was more excited to play on the tractor than I was!

Mommy did let me drive though...

Ms. Alyssa and Mr. Jason had a Memorial Day party. It was lots of fun because there were other kids there to play with and lots of fun toys. Here I am being the good host and handing out plates and napkins.

Mommy and I went to visit Nanny and Papa, and they had this cool tractor at their house!

When you've got a John Deer tractor this cool, who needs pants?!

One of the highlights of the trip to visit Nanny and Papa was that they took me to Memphis Kiddie Park. It's an amusement park just for little people like me! I met up with my friends Jack and Henry and the park, and we rode the rides together.

Henry and I taking a spin on the motor boats. The boat had a cool bell Henry and I got to fight over ringing.

That's Jack in the back of our boat. I know it may not look like it, but we loved all the rides and were very sad when each one ended.

Here we are on the rocket ship. I called it an airplane. It went up way in the sky.

Jack and I rode the racecars together. When the car stopped, I used my newly developed skills at undoing buckles to take my seat belt off, stand up and climb out of the car. Unfortunately, the ride operator caught up with me before I was able to run too far. Mom was yelling something from the side, I could really figure out what the big deal was.

Nanny and I rode the Merry-Go-Round together. It was lots of fun. I like spinny rides!

Again, I know it may not look like it, but I am having LOTS of fun!

Back at Nanny & Papa's, Papa gave me a golf lesson. Look out Tiger, here I come!

I'm going to try the one handed swing.

I'm gonna need quiet in the gallery please!

Fore!

Our trip to Cleveland was a bit of a whirlwind tour. On Sunday we made a quick stop at my Godmother Judy's new house. There I met Caden, and we shared a chair and had a drink together.

This weekend we took Gracie to a horse trial. Mommy wasn't riding, she had someone else riding Gracie because my brother or sister in her belly is getting quite big. I decided to help mommy and went and grabbed a brush and started brushing her on my own. I'm a helper. Mommy thinks this is a pretty cute picture. Of course it is, I'm in it!
